The Story Of Our ADHD Clinic

In 2010, our founder’s son was diagnosed with ADHD; a moment that sparked her search for answers and revealed how few specialized services existed for both children and adults.

Drawing on her Master’s degree in Social Work and years of clinical experience, she became a certified CBT and DBT therapist and an ADHD-CCSP. She trained as an ADHD clinician within Vancouver Coastal Health’s Regional Adult ADHD Program, gaining extensive experience supporting adults navigating the challenges of ADHD.

Shortly after her son’s diagnosis, she also discovered her own ADHD – a realization that brought profound personal insight and empathy to her work. This lived experience allows her to connect deeply with clients, understanding both the struggles and the strengths that come with ADHD.

She went on to develop innovative services and programs for adults and youth with ADHD, designed to provide education, therapeutic support, and skill-building rooted in evidence-based care. She later completed Dr. Peg Dawson’s ADHD Coaching Program, further enriching her holistic and compassionate approach. Her journey combines professional expertise with authenticity and heart, inspiring others to find clarity, confidence, and self-acceptance in their own paths.

In 2022, she opened West Coast Adult ADHD, a virtual clinic based in Vancouver, BC. One year later, The Mindful Adult launched in Ontario, expanding access to specialized ADHD care for individuals and families across Canada.

Our Approach To ADHD Assessment, Diagnosis, and Treatment

Through years of experience providing ADHD assessments, medical treatment, therapy, skill development, and ADHD coaching, our team has developed a holistic approach that supports individuals at any stage in their ADHD journey. We focus on evidence-based treatment, practical tools, and emotional well-being to help each person better understand and manage their ADHD.

At The Mindful Adult, we believe effective ADHD care begins with understanding each person as a whole. Our clinicians have advanced training in evidence-based treatment and work collaboratively with each client to build a plan that reflects their goals, strengths, and challenges.

Our ADHD Care Team

Our clinicians combine specialised training with lived experience of ADHD, offering care that’s both evidence-based and deeply understanding.
